We are a startup from the scientific field. Following ten years of scientific work in the Barcoding project of the Bavarian State Collection of Zoology in Munich, we now offer end-to-end services in the areas of genetic analysis and species identification as well as Biomonitoring 2.0. For that, any customer, also from nonscientific fields, can use our services without specific knowledge and will be able to easily interpret the results provided. We have gained professional experience in barcoding at the ZSM, as well as in the world-wide project BOLD, with headquarters in Guelph, Canada. We now employ this expertise in the identification of samples for agencies, universities, and private organizations.

2n8life GmbH

Die 2n8life GmbH entwickelt ein anwenderfreundliches System zur Messung von nächtlichen Erektionen inkl. einer App zur Visualisierung der Ergebnisse. Dabei wird eine textile Manschette über Nacht vom Mann getragen. Diese misst die Erektionen und sendet sie via Bluetooth an das Smartphone. In der App sieht der Nutzer seine Ergebnisse im Kontext der Vergleichsgruppe. Die Einsatzfelder sind vor allem die Differentialdiagnostik bei Erektionsproblemen (organische oder psychische Ursache) und der Einsatz als digitaler Biomarker für kardiovaskuläre Erkrankungen.

EpiCure

EpiCure ist ein Forschungsprojekt der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München und wird planmäßig 2026/2027 als eigenständige Biotech-Gesellschaft inkorporiert. Der Fokus liegt auf epigenetischen Therapien, einem Wirkprinzip, das in der Onkologie noch erhebliches ungenutztes Potenzial birgt. Als Lead Compound wird Carbacitabin (CAB) entwickelt, ein auf Basis epigenetischer Expertise rational designtes Wirkstoffmolekül für Blutkrebserkrankungen, das primär für Hochrisikopatienten mit akuter myeloischer Leukämie (AML) und myelodysplastischem Syndrom (MDS) positioniert wird. CAB wurde gezielt entwickelt, um die Schwächen klinisch eingesetzter Standardtherapeutika zu adressieren, und erzielt in patientenabgeleiteten Tumormodellen eine rund 100-fach reduzierte Toxizität bei gleichzeitig überlegener Wirksamkeit. Das regulatorische Fundament ist gelegt: Das BfArM hat das präklinische Entwicklungsprogramm im Scientific Advice bestätigt. Die erste klinische Studie ist für 2027/28 geplant.
